Rail Pardaz Seir is one of the affiliated companies of Rail Pardaz Industrial Group which, considering the number and variety of wagons in its fleet and also the amount of invested capital, is the biggest railway holding in Iran Providing loading and unloading facilities for rail shipment in departure and destination points, providing real-time online information on the latest status of rail shipments, and offering intermodal transportation (Rail-Road) are among the distinguishing features of the company.

In sum, what distinguishes Rail Pardaz Seir from the competitors in the Iranian rail transportation industry is the adopting of a series of innovative strategies and bold actions. Despite its relatively recent presence in the Iranian rail freight transportation industry, Rail Pardaz Seir has been able to achieve a very good position in the rankings considering the important industry indicators.

Project for studying and identifying strategies for increasing fleet efficiency:

Studying Choghart-Zarin Shahr and Khaf-Bandar Abbas routes in order to identify the causes of stops and to offer solutions to overcome them and increase fleet productivity

• Identifying the main travelling bottlenecks for Rail Pardaz Co. fleet

Feasibility study and purchasing of 15 locomotives:

Purchasing of 1,000 freight wagons:

Building a branch line and constructing the loading site in Khaf:

Status: Done

Constructing a 400-meter branch line and the infrastructure for an area of 6000 square meters for loading

 

 

 

 

Construction the unloading structure in Bandar Abbas:

 

The project was implemented with a low cost in order to attract for-export freights and increase company’s unloading capacity in Bandar Abbas, providing the company with competitive advantage.

Boosting fleet readiness up to 95%

Status: In planning stage

The project has been designed to improve and boost fleet readiness.

 

Certifications and Memberships

Membership of the domestic and international specialized and professional institutions and guilds, and also receiving specialized certificates and standards are the prerequisites of a company’s growth and progress.

Rail Pardaz Seir has always recognized the importance of such certificates, standards, and memberships, not for putting them on display, but rather for the facilities, skills and technical expertise that membership in such institutions and receiving such certificates offer a company. RPS is striving to institutionalize necessary qualifications and capabilities in its management, engineering, equipment, human resources, etc.

 

To that end, Rail Pardaz Seir has joined the following institutions and has received the following certificates:

·         The first Iranian railway company to receive the Bronze Statue for “Protecting Consumers Rights” in 2015

·         Two-star national certificate of recognition for Organizational Excellence in 2015, being the top railway company in the awards

·         Two-star national certificate of recognition for Railway Transportation Excellence in 2015 (two consecutive years)

·         Implementation of SEDEX corporate social responsibility system and receiving the international certificates from DQS in 2014

·         Implementation of IMS (Integrated Management System) according to ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS18001 standards in 2013 and receiving and renewing the related international certificates from TUVNORD in 2014 and 2015

·         Implementation of customer satisfaction standards ISO10001 for Customer Satisfaction and Codes of Conduct for Organizations, ISO10002 for Complaints Handling in Organizations, and ISO10004 Monitoring/measuring Customer Satisfaction in 2014, and receiving the related international certificates from IMQ in 2015

·         Implementation of training standard ISO10015 and receiving the certificate from IMQ

·         Implementation of Green Company model in order to increase the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility and environmental management certificates, and receiving the international certificate from DQS, renewed in 2015

·         National certificate for “Protecting Consumer Rights” from the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, 2013-2014 (No. 238160 dated Feb 26, 2014)

International Union of railways is an international organization that was founded in 1901 in Paris. The objective of this Union is to promote international cooperation and to develop activity fields of its members, while respecting their management independence. In order to maintain and improve the rail transport system on an international level, International Union of Railways publishes and distributes information on state-of-the-art technologies and new management methods among its members.

The Union dates back before the establishment of the United Nations, and all the countries that have transportation systems are members of UIC. Among the private companies active in Iran’s rail transport industry, only Rail Pardaz Seir has been approved as an associate member of UIC.

In its eightieth General Assembly on June 27, 2014, International Union of Railways ratified the application for membership of Rail Pardaz Seir which was announced by the Secretary General of the Union.
