A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Railways of Iran and France;

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Railways of Iran and France;

Formation of six working groups in the sectors of commuter trains, high speed and services of stations.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Railways of Iran (RAI) and France’s national State-owned Railway Company (SNCF) in order to convene six working groups in different sectors of tracks, high speed trains, services of stations, commuter train lines, giving consultation in restructuring, crisis management, and rolling stock on February 19, 2017.  

According to the Public Relations of Railways of Islamic Republic of Iran, this Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with presence of a delegation from Railways of France and some of the parliamentary members of this country.

According to this report, this Memorandum of Cooperation has been concluded after the agreements made during the trip of President of Iran on 27 January 2016 in France.

This report adds that the main topic of the Memorandum of Cooperation has been about the formation of six working groups in sectors of high speed lines, services of stations, commuter train lines, giving consultation for restructuring, crisis management, and rolling stock.

During the expert meeting regarding the six above-mentioned working groups, some negotiations and discussions were made and eventually a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with presence of Mr. Ahmad khodaei, Acting President of RAI and Mr. Ropert, Member of the Board of SNCF.
